And the one we’ve all been waiting for.
NYE – Kilifi New Year is a radically creative two-day explosion of music and tropical beach culture set on the gorgeous banks of Kilifi Creek in Southern Kenya. Incredible performers from around East Africa and the world will come together to put on a unique, technicolour show as we celebrate the intersection between African and World electronic music. The line-up is shaping up to be truly incredible so watch this space for artist announcements!
SCHEDULE:
We invite you to arrive early on December 31st, pitch your tent in our forest camp, have a cold drink at the bar and prepare yourselves for 36 hours of musical mayhem.
Performers from around the world will unite to turn our beachside playground into an extraordinary exhibition of colours, lights, installations and stalls of mind blowing diversity and proportion.
We are going to be up all night to see in the New Year so be sure that you don’t miss the sunrise and the famous early morning reggae set. After that, cool off in the shade for a few hours before the music starts again for the second day.
This is when things really get fun as we throw out our inhibitions, let loose, and begin the New Year with incredible energy and a union of spirits. Just after midnight we’ll hit the beach in the moonlight for a boogie as we burn our giant Burning Man effigy.
We want you to be a part of the show! So bring your tent, your craziest costumes and your inner wild child!
WHEN: 4pm Saturday December 31st 2016 until 6am Monday January 2nd 2017
TICKETS: EXTREMELY LIMITED
